1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Tether ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Tether. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
3. User Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You agree to provide accurate and current information
- You may not impersonate others or create accounts for anyone else
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
4. User-Generated Content
4.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of content you post (photos, text, comments, event details). By posting, you grant Tether a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and store your content within the App.
4.2 Content Guidelines
You agree not to post content that:
- Contains nudity, sexual content, or graphic violence
- Harasses, threatens, or bullies others
- Infringes on intellectual property rights
- Contains spam or misleading information
- Violates any applicable laws
4.3 Content Moderation
- We use automated tools (including image moderation) to detect inappropriate content
- We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts without prior notice
- Repeated violations may result in permanent account termination
5. Digest Posts and Social Features
- Posts refresh daily and are visible to your friends
- You control your friend list and who can see your posts
- Comments and interactions should follow our community guidelines
- We are not responsible for disputes between users
6. Events
- Event creators are responsible for event details, safety, and legality
- Tether is not liable for injuries, damages, or disputes arising from user-organised events
- You agree to use location-sharing features responsibly
- Event invitations and RSVPs are commitments between users, not Tether
7. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your information.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- Use the App for illegal purposes
- Attempt to access other users' accounts
- Reverse engineer or scrape the App
- Distribute malware or harmful code
- Interfere with the App's functionality
9. Intellectual Property
All App design, code, branding, and features are owned by Tether. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the App without permission.
10. Third-Party Services
The App may integrate third-party services (Firebase, payment processors, etc.). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms.
11. Disclaimers
- The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
- We are not responsible for user-generated content accuracy
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tether and its developers shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- Damages arising from user interactions or events
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Sydney, NSW.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
15. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason.
